January Traffic Report
January 2006 proved to be a month of massive growth in popularity for Tangst. Below are the details of overall traffic statistics recorded for this month.
In summary, Tangst experienced a gain in traffic of more than 275% over December 2005 statistics, which are available in the December Traffic Update.
One final statistic of interest is the population base of Tangsters. A brief study conducted during the week of 20 January 2005 to assess a sampling of traffic to Tangst for rough geographic region of origin. A small portion of visitors to Tangst were involved in this sample. The following results of the survey concern confirmed representation by Tangsters of various geographic regions:
I personally think it's neat how much Tangst has grown, and continues to grow. The increasingly diverse community seems evident to me in the wide array of varied responses and advice posters receive.
Relating to the study of user base: This survey was conducted using region-based tracing to prevent actual identification of individual users, and a so-called "double-blind" protocol was enacted to ensure that visitors would retain their anonymity in posting.
