Official Announcement/Invitation...Thingy

That was going to be serious, but then I had some tea and decided against it.

As I stated in the initial post about Tangst Con, plans are being set in motion still, but all of the basics have already been decided. So here is the open invitation.

Who's Invited: All Tangsters (seriously, even if you don't live in the Triangle area and want to make the trek out, be our guests).

What We're Doing: Making tangsty clothes, eating pizza.

When We're Doing This:
Date - Friday, March 10th, 2006.
Time - 3:30pm until people want to leave or the admins want to go home and sleep. Or check Tangst...

Where We're Doing This: Pullen Park, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. (Check for updates as to the exact location and directions.)

Why We're Doing This: For admins to meet Tangsters. For Tangsters to meet admins. For Tangsters to meet other Tangsters. To gush over poetry. To gripe about how much school sucked that day. To make new friends. Honestly though, I just want my tangsty jeans :)

How Much This Going to Cost: $5/person to cover pizza, drinks, markers, etc.

In addition, everyone needs to bring their own piece of clothing if they want a tangsty t-shirt, pair of jeans, skirt, whatever. Also bring a list of the quotes you want on said clothing item. If you could bring permanent markers/fabric pens, that'd be great too.

RSVP as a comment, leaving your name so that we can get an estimate of how many people we can expect to show up. Or RSVP through e-mail with "Tangst Con" and your name in the subject line.

More to come as the date looms nearer.

I think that there should be an online convention for all of us addicted Tangsters who do not live in North Carolina. Someone should start a chat room on something and then we can talk to each other. Also, just a suggestion for the convention. You all should wear paper bags over your heads with eye holes and write your blog name on the bag. Just a suggestion.

*JEALOUS*

i basically am in love with tangst and all the admins. it has seriously become one of the best things in my life. of course, you might not think you know me personally because i always post anonymously, but you DO know MANY bits and pieces of me, you just haven't connected them. Ok i'm rambling, but the point was that i would give ANYTHING to go to the tangst convention. and get a tangsty tshirt. but i can't.......

so. colorado tangsters. wanna have a mini colorado tangst convention?

3:30? On a Friday? As in after school? I know there aren't that many underclassmen on tangst- definitely way less than upperclassmen, but some of us are dedicated tangsters! It just happens that we don't have wheels at the moment, and we don't really know any other tangsters (well, we don't know them -personally- I bet all of us have that secret "OMG IT'S SITHGIRL/PEACHES/TINTED" feeling in our hearts when we see her/him in the halls) with cars who could give us a ride.

Oh the angst...

^Hmm, I guess in all our excitement, we really didn't think of that.

Maybe there should be like a meeting place on campus then everybody split up and drive over to the park? People have to rsvp then to get good estimated counts to plan it though.

I think it would be really cool to have something on the web that is like a tangst convention so that everyone including Enloe ppl, Colorado ppl, Penelopecians, and anyone else who reads this site could like "talk to each other" woo hoo. I don't know how it would happen but I am not that great with computers.
P.S. BoCo is like the cool way to say Boulder Colorado so like Raleigh or wherever you live would be like RaNoCa lame I know but that is because it is from when i lived in PoPa

The online convention is a pretty cool idea. Sure, it would take some effort for planning and setup, but it's feasible.

We should explore it.
